Romans 3:24
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
This part of the letter, Paul explains to the Philippians that indeed the word of God was first given to the Jews.
Yet, every man is guilty. Not one man can be justified by keeping the law. Reason being, the law was to make us aware of our sin, and point to the redemption in God's son Jesus. See, in the Old Testament, righteousness was the justification through faith in God's grace and mercy. Salvation is based on God's faithfulness only.
"Justified" means "Just as if I'd never sinned. Now, in case you didn't know we All have sinned and come short to the glory of God. Yes, we all! We were born into sin. No matter the sin, or in my case sins. No one, I mean no one was born righteous, that is besides Jesus. God made a way for us to be righteous through the sacrifice of His son Jesus. All we have to do is believe!
Yes, I know, pretty basic information. Christianity 101. Yet, if that's the case, why is this gift is so hard to obtain, or keep? Why is there struggles with this basic gospel information? Are we treating our church like a private club?Could it be perhaps that we have found our way back to salvation in works kind of gospel? Or have we simply scared others away with the fear provoking question of can one lose their salvation? Have we denied the power of the Gospel of Grace because, us believers think it's too basic? The Gospel of Grace is anything but basic. It's intense! It's life changing! It's free!! And if you act now you get the gift of The Holy Spirit!
